ENTTEC Storm 10 — Firmware V1.5.4 Release notes (all changes since V1.4) Firmware V1.5 is a major update that adds high-speed Overdrive output and full RDM device management on the DMX outputs, together with a redesigned web interface. V1.5.1–V1.5.4 build on that with reliability and usability refinements. New features Overdrive — high-speed DMX • Run outputs at up to 2 Mbit/s for faster refresh and higher throughput. • Carry up to 4 DMX universes per port — up to 40 universes across all 10 outputs. RDM on the DMX outputs • Discover, address and monitor RDM fixtures directly through the Storm 10 on any output port. • RDM pass-through (GET/SET) so your console or software can talk to fixtures over Art-Net. • Supports up to 512 RDM devices, reported to controllers with full paging. • Works in both standard and Overdrive modes. Redesigned web interface • Cleaner, faster configuration UI with light/dark themes. • Live DMX view buffer to inspect output levels from the browser. Per-port DMX merging • HTP/LTP merge of multiple sources per universe, with Art-Net Sync support. Improvements & fixes RDM • V1.5.4 — Reliable discovery of multiple same-manufacturer fixtures chained on one port (previously some devices could intermittently fail to appear). • V1.5.5 - Removes the Glitch of selecting only 2 universes, with V1.5.5 the the user can select 4 Universes without any glitches. Configuration & reliability • Saved settings are now validated on startup and safely reset to defaults if incompatible with a new firmware version — no more blank or garbled pages after an update. • Sensible defaults out of the box: DMX OUT at 250 kbit/s with consecutive universes. • More robust firmware-update and boot handling. DMX output • Every output frame now sends the correct DMX null start code. • Configurable refresh-rate cap (default 40 Hz) for consistent, standards-friendly timing. Interface • Multiple web-UI fixes, including dark-mode input styling and node-name editing. Upgrade notes • On the first boot after updating, any settings incompatible with V1.5.x are automatically reset to safe defaults — please review your port configuration (mode, universes, merge) after upgrading. • There was a small glitch in the user interface for that release where people could only select up to two universes. V!_5 version fixes it. No complete release; we just to update the link on the website and communicate internal
